Ormskirk Heritage Trail

Our Ormskirk Heritage Trail introduces you to some of Ormskirk’s history and heritage.   You can either follow the trail yourself, or you can join an organised tour, led by Dot Broady-Hawkes, a local historian.

The trail starts in the centre of Ormskirk at the Clock Tower and takes you to 12 points of interest around our ancient market town.

During 2025, there will be guided walks on the following Tuesdays, starting from the Clock Tower at 1:30 p.m.

Tuesday 13 May; Tuesday 3 June, Tuesday 1 July, Tuesday 5 August

There is no charge for the tour but we very much appreciate voluntary contributions towards the costs of planning and running the Heritage Trail and Tours.  Please book your places by emailing dothawkes@hotmail.co.uk

Printed copies of the walk are available at Ormskirk Library and in some of our local shops, or you can find information about it here.

If you want to bring a group to Ormskirk and would like to organise your own private guided tour, we will try help by providing a guide.  Please get in touch using our contact form.
